Any dog (no matter size or breed) is welcome to apply to become a member of The Doghouse of Barrington.
Every dog must be current on his or her vaccinations (to include rabies, distemper, and bordatella). Heartworm and flee/tick preventatives also are checked. Puppies under 6 months can be accepted as long as they have had their first distemper booster and de-wormer.

Individual Attention Overnight Package
For those pups who like to sleep alone, or who sleep best with their canine brother or sister, choose the “individual attention package.” For just $25 per dog, he’ll be sleeping on a plush bed in his very own run. Fresh water and daily feedings are provided (although we require that owners bring food, medication, toys, and treats). Each dog will be taken outside for fresh air and potty breaks four times a day.
Group Sleepovers Mean Even More Fun
For dogs who qualify* and who prefer not to be alone, our “group sleepover package” may be just right. The Doghouse of Barrington is the only facility in the northwest Chicago suburbs to offer a such boarding service where your dog can sleep with a human and his best doggy friends and stay that way cage free! All participating guests will sleep on a plush bed, be fed meals separately, receive regular potty breaks, and view a canny canine movie each evening--all for just $50 per dog!

Happy in His Own Bed
There are those times (work trips, weekends away, date nights in the city) when you and your dog just can’t go where you’re going together. For those times, The Doghouse of Barrington offers home overnight care, where your dog can sleep in the most comfortable place possible—his own bed. Overnight home packages include 20-minute “appointments” dedicated to play, meals, and walks, as well as some house “keeping” (i.e. paper, mail, lights).
